On the Mountain
The video below will walk you through what to expect when you arrive at The Remarkables along with detailed, important information to help you prepare for your trip to Queenstown.
Please visit our FAQ page or contact us if you have any questions.
Lift Passes
There will be a designated queue at Guest Services where you can purchase your lift ticket(s) on the day. Participants have the option to purchase a full lift pass or a "beginner lift pass" with access to just the 3 conveyer belts on the beginner terrain (no chairlifts).
To avoid long wait times in the morning, ahead of your arrival NZSKI will create a MyPass account for you. If you do not want your details shared with NZSKI, please contact us by 5pm, July 25th.
Note: non SSNZ adaptive members or those without their membership card on them will be subject to full prices.
Equipment
Helmets are mandatory throughout the festival and are available for hire on the mountain if needed.
Skis, snowboards, boots, helmets and outerwear (pants/ jacket) are available to hire on the mountain. We recommend contacting the Remarkables to book in advance.
Note: non SSNZ adaptive members or those without their membership card on them will be subject to full prices.
SSNZ will provide adaptive equipment such as mono-ski, bi-ski, outriggers, ski links and high vis vests. We may be able to provide a couple of communications systems however, we suggest contacting us to check availability well in advance of the festival.
Due to demand, we may need to rotate some of the equipment throughout the day. We will do our best to ensure everyone has the equipment they need though.
Lessons
We will do our best to accommodate first timers/ beginners with 1x free (1 hour) private lesson.
If you'd like to request a specific lesson time, please complete the booking request form here.
Food and Drink
We recommend bringing snacks and water to keep energised and hydrated throughout the day.
Meals are also available for purchase at the Base Cafe.
