Volunteers

We are always on the lookout for volunteers as we try to keep up with the demands of the growing festival. The festival wouldn't be what it is today without the support of our amazing volunteers - and we are immensely grateful!

REGISTRATION

We require all volunteers to please register on the link above.

If you can no longer volunteer at the festival, please let us know. We put a great deal of time into organising the festival and finding volunteers and we need to ensure we have enough help on the day to support our participants on snow.

TRANSPORT

If you live in Wanaka we may be able to provide transport to and from The Remarkables each day. Please contact us for more information and availability.

It is essential that you carry chains (and know how to fit them) if you are driving to The Remarkables. This includes 4WD/ AWD vehicles as the weather can be unpredictable.

ACCOMMODATION

Our event partner, the Halberg Foundation, have secured the whole Lakeland Park Camp from 2nd - 5th August 2024 (3 nights).

  • 3x nights accommodation (check in Friday afternoon, checkout Monday morning)

  • Daily continental breakfast

  • 1x pizza night

  • Return, daily free shuttles to the ski field

Cost: $220 pp

To book, please email sami@snowsports.co.nz.

COMMUNICATION

We will communicate via email for important, general updates in the lead up to the festival. WhatsApp will be primarily used during the festival. Please join the community WhatsApp chat here.

LIFT PASSES

The Remarkables will provide FOC lift passes for each day that you volunteer. If you already have a season pass, please let us know when registering.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The festival is a really fun, rewarding and a very friendly environment. We are all there for our love of snow sports, to meet new people and enjoy the mountains together. Please also make sure to check out the video on the home page and visit our social medical channels.

POLICE VETTING

All volunteers will be required to complete a police vetting form. Please let us know if you have already completed this as part of the vetting for a New Zealand Adaptive Volunteer Program.

If you have any other questions, please visit our FAQ page or contact us directly.
